A digital system that integrally manages the production, editing and transmission of news
iDA.News, a digital system for management of news production and broadcasting developed by icube, is an innovative technology that meets the strict requirements of the Korean broadcasting environment. Interworking with the Odyssey developed in cooperation with KBS, iDA News manages news editing and broadcasting without any need of tapes. The time taken for each process is reduced considerably, because a series of news text editing, video/audio editing and cuesheet editing are conducted systematically in a high-speed network. Then, the prompter activation and transmission of video and audio are controlled in an integrated manner. In addition, iDA.News, installed in broadcasting stations deploying fiber channels, is the first automatic digital system that frees human resources from huge amount of manual works in broadcasting stations.
